Scripture: Luke 8: 8-11 "But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Then His disciples asked Him, saying, “What does this parable mean?” And He said, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.’ - NKJV When you hear the cry of Jesus, God is giving your a moment, respond, do not waste it!! Trusting in salvation is to receive life, otherwise all life can be taken, even though it seems certain to remain without a decision. To become trees of righteousness, check the condition of your soil, is it fruitful, does it accept the seed, which is the Word of God, does it give glory to God? Good soil makes God a priority, it pursues relationship. Jesus encourages us to learn from this example to accept God's Word and gain the ability to discern the mysteries of the gospel. Israel is given as an example of God's decision to place them in slavery to open their spiritual ears. The parable has truth to be heard by the spiritual deaf, who become curious to understand the story and become drawn to God's Word. Jesus is addressing those in need of a Savior and heart for the kingdom of God. Message: In the parable of the sower, there are people who have a heart, their spiritual ears, which will be able to receive the Word of God. And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer your faith has made you well. And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. Scripture: Luke 8: 43-46 "Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. Be comforted, go in peace, trust the Lord for restoration, knowing in the touch you are touched by Him. The woman was Jesus' example of true faith which clung in hope, healing and Him, persuading the stop to draw attention to her actions and the healing she received. Things holding you down have no power over Jesus' righteousness. It must endure questioning by the Lord for sincerity and a courage to respond to His healing authority. It is tested consistently for steadfastness. Faith only needs to reach out and know it applies to all. Often we do not risk because it appears beyond our ability, unable to rely on God's sovereignty. Risking condemnation for an act forbidden by religious authorities, Jesus commended her for her faith healing. A woman with a long term illness touched Jesus's garment out of desperation. Hold on!! Trust in a loving God who can heal, save, deliver and set free. Message: We have trials and struggles, seemingly endless, sometimes making joy take a little longer than expected.
